1. Our approach to third-party names and data
This site occasionally references other companies by name - for example, on comparison pages under /alternatives and /companies. Where we do, we rely on nominative fair use: using a company's name only as necessary to identify and factually discuss them, without implying sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation. Under Indian law, this is supported by the fair dealing provisions of Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957, and by settled trademark principles that permit truthful, non-confusing nominative reference to a third-party mark. We do not reproduce another site's ratings, reviews, review counts, or logo images. Where we cite a third-party source (for example, a directory listing), we link to it directly rather than copying its content.
2. If you believe your content or trademark was used improperly
If you are a rights holder and believe any page on this site uses your copyrighted content, trademark, or brand assets in a way that goes beyond factual, nominative reference, contact us with:
- The specific URL(s) on this site you're referring to
- A description of the material or mark, and your relationship to it (e.g. owner, authorized representative)
- Your contact details
- A statement that the use is unauthorized

3. Response timeline
We take these requests seriously and commit to:
- Acknowledgement within 24 hours of receiving a valid notice.
- Resolution within 7 days - the disputed content will be removed, corrected, or you'll receive a clear explanation of why we believe the reference qualifies as fair, nominative use, along with an invitation to discuss further.
This timeline is intentionally faster and more generous than what Indian law strictly requires, and is offered as a good-faith commitment regardless of where the request originates from.
4. Legal basis
This site is operated from India and primarily governed by Indian law, including the Copyright Act, 1957 (fair dealing under Section 52), the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, which set out India's notice-and-takedown framework. For visitors and rights holders outside India, we also honor properly submitted requests in the spirit of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice-and-takedown process, using the same response timeline described above.
5. Counter-notices
If content was removed in error, or you believe a reference to your company qualifies as fair, nominative use, reply to our acknowledgement email explaining why. We'll review in good faith and respond within the same 7-day window.
